AUTUMN TOUR (Considered the season of farewell)

Autumn in Hunza and Valleys brings with it a vibrant color palette as the hills and slopes are covered in leaves and snow, making the region more picturesque than in any other season. With a dynamic landscape, there is a reason the valley is often referred to as ‘Heaven on earth’. From vibrant tones of orange and red to soothing shades of yellow, the season brings with it a spectrum of color and beauty.

Autumn is the most exciting season in the Hunza and Skardu Pakistan. At the end of the summer season in September, the orchards start changing color like a bride Groom with the colorful dress of her wading day. These fantastic changes bring a glorious transfusion into the human body, which gives happiness and pleasure. In October it offers a picture seek view among the high mountain peaks of 7000m to 7800m. Above from the snow line to the water channel lies the colorful rocks which have a sharp ridges Nallahs Maize millet vegetables sunflower, waterfalls, lakes, Duck shooting possibility, enjoy the landscape with the Natural beauty the God Given Gift to human creatures. The areas are abounding in colorful flowers along with gushing streams, roaring waterfalls, particularly in Hunza.

Autumn in Northern Areas of Pakistan is something to behold. This is the time of year when the trees of poplar, apricot, mulberry, peach, apple, and plum burst forth into a riot of color with hues of orange, rust, and red. The clear and bracing weather offers the best view of the surrounding mountains.

The Hunza Valley is a mountainous valley, situated north/west of the Hunza River, at an elevation of around 2,500 m. The territory of Hunza is about 7,900 square km (3,100sq mi). Aliabad is the main town, while Baltit and Altit are popular tourist destination because of the spectacular scenery of the surrounding mountains. The people are cheerful, friendly, fair-skinned and blue or green eyes. Almost all speak Burushaski and in upper Hunza, they speak Wakhi. Detailed Itinerary

Day-01: Islamabad and Rawalpindi

Welcome at Islamabad airport, and transfer to hotel. After refreshment proceed for city tour of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, which includes famous Faisal Mosque, Shakar Parian, Pakistan monument, Damen Koh, Lok Versa, Museum, Rawalpindi old bazaar, Raja Bazaar.

Day-02: Drive from Islamabad to Chilas

Drive to Naran 6-7 hours, 239 km, after lunch continue drive to Chilas 3-4hrs 113.3 km via Babusar Pass 4,173m.
Babusar Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4,173 m (13,691 ft) above the sea level. The pass is the highest point in the Kaghan Valley, Pakistan. The pass connects the Kaghan Valley via the ThakNala with Chilas on the Karakoram Highway. It’s one of the famous hair pinned roads in the world.

Day-03: Drive from Chilas to Skardu

Drive to Skardu along with Indus River 8-9 hours, 290 km. En-route stop at junction point of three great mountain ranges meet, the Karakorum, Himalaya and Hindukush and stop at Thalichi for photography from Nanga Parbat 8,126m.

Day-04: Local visits in Skardu & Shigar

Morning drive to Shigar valley 35 km, visit Shigar Fort Shigar valley and The Cold Desert, also known as the Katpana Desert. Afternoon visit Satpara Lake and hike to Kharpocho fort from Skardu city 2 hours.

Day-05: Drive from Skardu to Khaplu Village

Drive to Khaplu village 100 km, En-route stop at various viewpoints for photography. Arrive Khaplu and transfer to hotel. After refreshment visit Khaplu Fort and Khaplu village. Evening enjoy walk and photography from the colors of autumn in Khaplu village.

Day-06: Drive back from Khaplu to Skardu

Drive back to Skardu 100 km.
The return road journey offers amazing sightseeing starting with passage through villages of Khaplu valley displaying small agricultural lands and mountain farming activities as we move downstream. We eventually come to the confluence where Shyok river (flowing from Ladakh) meets Hushey river.

Day-07: Drive from Skardu to Gilgit & Hunza

Drive to Gilgit 240 km, after lunch in Gilgit visit Gilgit Bazaar and Kargah Buddha and drive to Hunza valley 100 km, en-route stop at various viewpoints for photography and refreshment.

Day-08: Local visits in Karimabad and Altit

Morning visit Baltit Fort 700 Years old and Baltit village, afternoon visit Altit Fort 900 Years old, Altit village and visit the women carpenters of Hunza. Evening enjoy water channel walk from Karimabad to towards Hyderabad village.

Day-09: Karimabad Hopper and Duiker valley

Morning excursion to Hopper valley, visit Hopper glacier and Hopper valley, afternoon drive to Duiker valley thirty minutes arrive and transfer to hotel. An evening walk through the village to Holy shrines, today you will have opportunity to see many local people working in the fields. (Duiker valley is viewpoint to see the sunset and Sunrise over the beautiful mountains in the surroundings of Hunza). Duiker valley (Roof of the world), have a spectacular view down to Karakoram Highway and awesome views of Golden peak 7027m, Rakaposhi 7788m, Ultar Sar 7388m, Diran Peak 7266m, Lady Finger 6000m and Disteghil Sar 7885m.

Day-10: Duiker- Attaabad Lake- Gulmit & Passu

Drive to Passu one hour 50 km, en-route visit Attabad Lake, arrive and transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit Borith Lake, Gulkin village, Gulmit village, Passu white Glacier, Passu village, Hussani village and Hussani suspension bridge.

Day-11: Passu to Khunjerab Pass and Karimabad

Full day excursion to Khunjerab Pass 4733m, (Pak- China Border) evening drive back to Karimabad. Khunjerab Pass elevation 4,733m is a high mountain pass in the Karakoram Mountains in a strategic position on the northern border of Pakistan’s Gilgit-Baltistan region and on the southwest border of the Xinjiang region of China. Its name is derived from Wakhi ‘Khun’ means Home and ‘Jerav’ means spring water/water falling. The Khunjerab Pass is the highest paved international border crossing in the world and the highest point on the Karakoram Highway. The road way across the pass was completed in 1982, and has superseded the unpaved Mintaka and Kilik Passes as the primary passage across the Karakoram.

Day-12: Drive from Karimabad to Naran

Drive to Naran 355km via Babusar Pass 4173m. En-route stop at various viewpoints for photography and refreshment.
Babusar Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4.173 m (13,691 ft) above the sea level. The pass is the highest point in the Kaghan Valley, Pakistan. The pass connects the Kaghan Valley via the Thak Nala with Chilas on the Karakoram Highway. It’s one of the famous hair pinned roads in the world. Karakoram highway is the 8th wonder of the world.

Day-13: Drive from Naran to Islamabad

Drive to Islamabad 6-7 hours 239 km, en-route visit Taxila museum and historical sites.
Taxila: Most of the archaeological sites of Taxila (600 BC to 500 AD) are located around Taxila museum. For over one thousand-year Taxila remained famous as a centre of learning Gandhara art of sculpture, architecture, education, and Buddhism in the days of Buddhist glory. There are over 50 archaeological sites scattered in a radius of 30 km around Taxila. In Taxila visit archaeological sites of Jaulian, Mohra Moradu, and Sirkap. Later visit.
Taxila museum: A museum comprising various sections with rich archaeological finds of Taxila. It is one of the best and well-maintained site museums of Pakistan.

Day-14: Fly back Home

Transfer to Islamabad airport for international flight
