Baltistan or Little Tibet is a mountainous region on the border of Pakistan controlled Kashmir and Indian Controlled Kashmir in the Karakorum mountains just south of K2 (the world’s second-highest mountain). Baltistan borders Gilgit to the west, Xinjiang (China) in the north, Ladakh on the southeast and the Kashmir valley on the southwest. Its average altitude is over 3,350 metres (10,990 ft).

The rising of Indus stretches down to Baltistan valley from Tibet to Gilgit and down to the Arabian Sea, which cuts the Indian sub-continent from Asia; Baltistan valley is called a little Tibet in the North of Pakistan. Baltistan is situated at the last end of Himalaya, beside Deosai Plain and Satpara Lake. Baltistan the tourist destination of Mountains paradise where the world 2nd highest peak is K-2 (8611-m) and the other 8000m is Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I & II Likely 8068 to 8047m and there are many peaks 7750- 7800m. Its snow-capped peaks and long glaciers give you a spectacular view for climbers, trekkers and travelers.

The Hunza Valley is a mountainous valleysituated north/west of the Hunza River, at an elevation of around 2,500 m. The territory of Hunza is about 7,900 square km (3,100sq mi). Aliabad is the main town, while Baltit and Altit are popular tourist destination because of the spectacular scenery of the surrounding mountains.
The people are cheerful and friendly, almost all speak Burushaski and in upper Hunza they speak Wakhi.

Day-01: Islamabad and Rawalpindi

Welcome at Islamabad airport, and transfer to hotel, after refreshment proceed for city tour of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, which includes famous Faisal Mosque, Shakar Parian, Pakistan monument, Damen Koh, Lok Versa, Museum, Rawalpindi old bazaar, Raja Bazaar.

Day-02: Drive from Islamabad to Chilas

Drive to Chilas on Karakoram highway or via Babusar Pass 4173m, 461 km.
Babusar Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4.173 m (13,691 ft) above the sea level. The pass is the highest point in the Kaghan Valley, Pakistan. The pass connects the Kaghan Valley via the Thak Nala with Chilas on the Karakoram Highway. It’s one of the famous hair pinned roads in the world. Karakorum high way is 8th wonder of the world. The Karakorum Highway was constructed jointly by the Chinese and Pakistanis, begun in 1960s and finally constructed in 1976,s as a link road between Pakistan and China. It is an engineering wonder, but at the cost of many lives.

Day-03: Drive from Chilas to Skardu

Drive to Skardu along with Indus River 8-9 hours, 290 km. En-route stop at junction point of three great mountain ranges meet, the Karakorum, Himalaya and Hindukush and stop at Thalichi for photography from Nanga Parbat 8,126m.

Day-04: Deosai and Local visits in Skardu

Morning Excursion to Deosai plateau via Satpara Lake. Afternoon hike to Kharpocho fort from Skardu city 2 hours.

Day-05: Drive from Skardu to Shigar & Khaplu

After breakfast drive to Shigar valley 35 km, visit Shigar Fort Shigar valley and The Cold Desert, also known as the Katpana Desert. Afternoon drive to Khaplu village along with Shyok River 100km. arrive and transfer to hotel.

Day-06: Drive from Khaplu to Skardu

After breakfast visit Khaplu Fort, Khaplu village and Chakchun Mosque. Evening back to Skardu 100km.
Khaplu village: This handsome village of timber-and-stone houses and precision-made dry walls climbs up a wide alluvial fan beneath an arc of sheer granite walls. Painstaking irrigation has made it a shady, fertile oasis. As you climb its twisting track, the icy peaks of the Masherbrum Range rise on the other side of the valley. It’s hard to imagine a more majestic setting near a public road anywhere in Pakistan. The main attractions are the 2600m-high village itself, the old Royal Place and even older Mosque above it at Chakchun, and the heart-stopping views.

Day-07: Drive from Skardu to Gilgit

Drive to Gilgit 6-7 hours 240km, En-route visit Kachura Lake and Shangri La resort. Arrive Gilgit and transfer to hotel, after refreshment visit Gilgit town and Kargah Buddha.

Day-08: Drive from Gilgit to Karimabad

Drive to Karimabad along with Hunza-Nagar River 2-3 hours 100km. En-route stop at various viewpoints for photography and refreshment. Arrive Karimabad and transfer to hotel. After lunch visit Baltit Fort and Baltit town.

Day-09: Hopper- Altit Fort and Duiker valley

Morning excursion to Hopper valley, visit Hopper glacier and Hopper valley. Afternoon visit Altit fort and drive to Duiker valley thirty minutes arrive and transfer to hotel. An evening walk through the village to Holy shrines, today you will have opportunity to see many local people working in the fields. (Duiker valley is viewpoint to see the sunset and Sunrise over the beautiful mountains in the surroundings of Hunza). Duiker valley (Roof of the world), have a spectacular view down to Karakoram Highway and awesome views of Golden peak 7027m, Rakaposhi 7788m, Ultar Sar 7388m, Diran Peak 7266m, Lady Finger 6000m and Disteghil Sar 7885m.

Day-10: Drive from Duiker to Passu

Drive to Passu 1 hour en-route visit Attabad Lake, arrive Passu and transfer to hotel. After refreshment visit Borith Lake, Gulking village, Gulmit village, Passu Glacier, Batura Glacier, Passu village, Hussani village and Hussani suspension bridge.

Day-11: Excursion to Khunjerab Pass

Full day excursion to Khunjerab Pass 4733m, (Pak- China Border) evening drive back to Karimabad.
Khunjerab Pass elevation 4,733m is a high mountain pass in the Karakoram Mountains in a strategic position on the northern border of Pakistan’s Gilgit-Baltistan region and on the southwest border of the Xinjiang region of China. Its name is derived from Wakhi ‘Khun’ means Home and ‘Jerav’ means spring water/water falling. The Khunjerab Pass is the highest paved international border crossing in the world and the highest point on the Karakoram Highway. The road way across the pass was completed in 1982, and has superseded the unpaved Mintaka and Kilik Passes as the primary passage across the Karakoram.

Day-12: Drive from Karimabad to Naran

Drive to Chilas (221 KM), after lunch continue drive to Naran 3-4 hours (113.3 km) via Babusar Pass 4173m).
Babusar Pass (el. 4173 m./13,691 ft.) is a mountain pass at the north of the 150 km. (93 miles) long Kaghan Valley connecting it via the Thak Nala with Chilas on the Karakoram Highway (KKH). Babusar Pass connects Gilgit Baltistan with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.

Day-13: Drive from Naran to Islamabad

Drive to Islamabad 6/7 horus (239.2 km) en-route visit Taxila museum and historical sites.
Taxila: Most of the archaeological sites of Taxila (600 BC to 500 AD) are located around Taxila museum. For over one thousand-year Taxila remained famous as a center of learning Gandhara art of sculpture, architecture, education and Buddhism in the days of Buddhist glory. There are over 50 archaeological sites scattered in a radius of 30 km around Taxila. In Taxila visit archaeological sites of Jaulian, Mohra Moradu and Sirkap. Later visit.
Taxila museum: A museum comprising various sections with rich archaeological finds of Taxila. It is one of the best and well-maintained site museums of Pakistan.

Day-14: Fly back Home
