Batura Werthum Pass Trek

The trek begins at China Camp and concludes in Ramanj village, traversing Werthum Pass at 5147m. It takes approximately 45 minutes from the high camp to reach the summit. The pass features slopes of 20-25 degrees on both sides and a permanent 3-4m vertical cornice on its north side. Trekkers should use a rope belay to navigate the cornice and cut steps in the ice to reach the talus below, especially before mid-July when there is more snow and a larger cornice.

Batura Glacier, the fourth longest in the Karakorum, extends west from the Karakorum Highway for 56 km. The trek offers stunning views of 14 peaks over 7000-M and immense ice floes cascading over 4000-M from the Batura Wall to the glacier below. The majority of the trek follows ablation valleys and streams, with gradual acclimatization and no significant difficulties. Even the two glacier crossings are relatively straightforward. Trekkers also have the opportunity to experience the unique lifestyle of Passu villagers, who tend to livestock in the summer pastures along the glacier’s north margin.

Hon Pass And Rakaposhi Base Camp Trek

The Rakaposhi trek unfolds within the majestic Rakaposhi Range, nestled in the serene Nagar Valley region, offering a glimpse into the rich local culture of the mountain communities. Along the route, trekkers encounter summer settlements where local inhabitants tend to their livestock, including sheep, goats, yaks, and cows. Pasturelands adorn the entire trek, with only the glacier moraine present at the summit, which requires an easy 2-3 hour walk to traverse.

Ultar Meadows Trek: The Ultar Meadows Trek offers an enchanting journey through breathtaking landscapes near Karimabad. Beginning just before Baltit Fort, the trail follows a water channel into a picturesque canyon. While the start of the trek presents steep and sometimes slippery terrain, the effort is rewarded as trekkers reach Sheppard’s huts after a few hours. From there, the path unfolds into the mesmerizing Ultar Meadows, situated at an altitude of approximately 3,270 meters. This tranquil haven serves as a summer pasture for the Baltit villagers, providing a serene setting for trekkers to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature.

Hon Pass 4257m
Situated atop a steep ridge above Ultar, Hon Pass offers breathtaking vistas of the Hunza valley and the western expanse of the Hisper, Spantik, Sosbun, and Rakaposhi-Haramosh ranges. The towering summits of Trivor, Spantik, Malubiting, Phuparash, Diran, and Rakaposhi majestically overlook the equally impressive Barpu, Minapin, and Pisan glaciers, creating a scene of unparalleled natural beauty.

Tirich Mir Base Camp Trek

Trek right into the heart of the high Hindukush mountains to the base camp of Tirich Mir 7708m, known as Babu Camp 4724m in honor of our veteran guide Babu Mohammed. En route, you’ll encounter impressive 7000m summits like Noshaq 7492m and Istor Nal 7403m, among others.

The Hindukush lies beyond the reach of the monsoon and is a deserted, arid landscape visited by very few. In contrast, the scenic Tirich Valley is very fertile and populated with several small villages.

A spectacular drive to Uthul takes us to the jump-off point, and trekking across Zani Pass 3886m provides excellent views of the Hindukush and Hindu Raj ranges. Passing through the villages of Atak and Bandak, we arrive at Shogor, at the foot of the Tirich Glacier.
